Early Treatment
“Early” orthodontic treatment generally refers to helping children between the ages of 7-11, at a time when they have some baby teeth and some adult teeth in their mouth. If a problem is developing with either their bite or the eruption of their teeth, a few specific treatments can make a big difference for the years to come. The most common problems to be addressed at this age are crossbites, severe crowding, and adult teeth not coming properly.
Even if your child doesn’t have one of these specific problems, early orthodontic screening will provide you a wealth of information so that you will know eventually when treatment would be beneficial, what it may involve, and how much it will cost.
