Patient InfoFirst Visit
At Marcy Orthodontics a patient’s or parent’s concerns and desires are our highest priority. At your first visit to our office, you will meet with Dr. Marcy, who will begin with an assessment of what you desire from orthodontic treatment. Dr. Marcy will evaluate you or your child’s orthodontic needs and the ideal time to initiate correction. A discussion will follow to ensure that you fully understand all aspects of the problems and solutions. We will answer any questions you may have regarding treatment timing, types of orthodontic appliances and treatment alternatives.
At times, treatment may not be suggested right away but rather it may be better to wait for more dental development or facial growth. If it is the proper time to address the orthodontic problems, we will be ready to initiate comprehensive orthodontic diagnosis. This involves gathering more information in order to finalize a detailed treatment plan. Diagnostic records will be taken that consist of photographs, plaster models of your teeth and x-rays of your teeth and jaws. We respect that your time is valuable, therefore at your discretion, these records can be done one the same day as the initial consultation, or at a separate appointment. By the end of your first visit you’ll feel confident that you are in good hands!
After this visit, Dr. Marcy will analyze these diagnostic records and an appointment will be booked for your final consultation.
