Appointments

Your time is valuable and it shouldn’t be wasted sitting in our reception room. With this in mind, we have designed a schedule whereby the vast majority of the appointments can be scheduled during more desirable times, and longer or more involved procedures are performed during reserved times throughout the morning or early afternoon hours. We see patients as early as 8 a.m… and have availability in the evenings and weekends. We will do our best to accommodate you with the appointment time of your choice.

When we place your orthodontic appliances the appointment time can be as short as thirty minutes or as long as two hours. The length of time depends on the type of appliance Dr. Marcy has prescribed for you. You will then see us at regular intervals every four to eight weeks, with most visits being approximately 15 to 30 minutes. At these regular adjustment appointments Dr. Marcy and our hygienists will adjust your orthodontic appliances to facilitate your treatment. It is very important that you keep your appointments in order for your estimated treatment time to stay on schedule.

Appointment times may be checked by logging on to our website once you have entered your e-mail address in our office and created a password.

Cancellation

Should you need to change an appointment please contact the office during office hours. This will allow you to speak directly to one of our receptionists and reschedule the appointment in a timely manner. Please keep in mind we do require 48 hours notice for appointment changes.

Lateness

We have arranged our schedule to allow our appointments to run efficiently and on time throughout the day. In fairness to the other scheduled patients, we may not be able to squeeze a late arrival into the schedule. We may have to reschedule the appointment for another day, unless there is an opening available that we did not expect.

Accessibility in Our Office

Marcy Orthodontics is committed to accessibility for persons with disabilities. We do this through the provision of accessible service in the areas of information and communication, facilities and customer service. The Accessibility Officer is responsible for receiving and addressing accessibility related feedback, both positive and negative. Emergencies

In orthodontics minor emergencies sometimes arise, so please feel confident that in such an event you will always be cared for. Examples of emergencies are: tissue irritation resulting from appliances or retainers, discomfort from poking wires, loose or broken brackets and bands, lost or broken appliances and retainers. We have assigned specific times within our schedule to see to our emergency appointments. We will only see patients who have scheduled appointments.
